Overview

When Oklahoma legalized medical marijuana in 2018, Heavenly Haze was ready to move, but like most businesses launching in a brand new industry, they needed everything built at once. They came to us at the very beginning, and we stayed with them through some of the hardest years any business can face, including the height of COVID.

The scope of work was as wide as it gets. On the operational side, we built their entire business infrastructure from scratch: standard operating procedures, policies and procedures, employee handbook, all HR documentation, new hire paperwork, I-9 compliance, NDAs, and offer letters. We created job descriptions, posted positions, and supported the hiring and interview process. We set up their file management systems and built out the tracking tools they needed for inventory, growth, and cultivation. All the specialized record-keeping a cannabis operation requires to stay compliant and run efficiently.

Our solution

On the marketing and brand side, we handled their website, their branding, and their packaging – attending vendor meetings and making sure their product showed up in the market the right way.

We also traveled onsite to Durant, Oklahoma regularly to work alongside their team in person, supporting implementation and making sure nothing fell through the cracks.

Heavenly Haze, now operating as Golden Shovels, is a testament to what’s possible when the right operational foundation is laid from day one.
